A black charcoal shampoo from Made for Locs, made for a deeper clean of locs and scalp.
A good pick if you work out a lot, have an oily scalp, or feel your locs need a reset. Rinse thoroughly and dry your locs completely after washing.
When to reach for a charcoal shampoo
- Your scalp gets oily quickly
- You sweat a lot from training or work
- Your locs feel heavy or smell even after washing
- You’ve used a lot of wax, creams or butters
How to wash locs with it
- Wet your locs thoroughly.
- Apply to your scalp first and massage in with your fingertips.
- Squeeze the lather through the length of your locs.
- Rinse until the water runs completely clear.
- Dry fully, using a microfibre towel and air or a diffuser.
If your locs still smell after drying, read mold in dreadlocks and try an ACV rinse.
FAQs
Can I use it every wash?
If your scalp is oily, yes. If your locs start feeling dry, alternate with a gentler shampoo.
